Western Chances Scholarship Awards Ceremony
Wednesday 10 March, 2010
|
In March this year we hosted our first Western Chances Scholarship Award Ceremony, awarding scholarships to over 60 young people from Melbourne’s West at the Sunshine Convention Centre, Victoria University.
The night was a celebration of talented young people, inspiring our scholarship recipients to stay motivated especially when they are faced with obstacles. Two of our 2008 academic scholarship recipients, Hadray Thashee and Julia Truong from Gilmore College for Girls, shared their stories and plans for the future as part of the evening, Carlos Sila performed his remix of ‘I’m Yours’ by Jason Mraz.
Western Chances will be holding one more Scholarships Awards Ceremony this year, to find out more information please contact us.
