Providing a hand up, not a hand out

Western Chances Scholarships are merit based and are designed for talented young people for whom our support will make a difference.
Our scholarships are unique in that:

- The family or young person shapes the scholarship to suit their needs
- The young person is supported for as long as the talent and need continue
- The young person is introduced to other skills development opportunities and into the Western Chances Network where support in work placements, career management, transition to university, etc can be provided.

Scholarship program achievements to date:
|
- To date a total of 1430 scholarships have been allocated since 2004, translating to approximately $1.365m.
- Currently, we have 599 scholarship recipients on our list, with more coming onto the program in Term 3.

2010 Scholarship Renewal Round
|
Applications open on Monday 12th July, 2010 and must be fully completed and returned by Friday 6th August, 2010, 4.00pm.
This application round is for previous Western Chances Scholarship recipients wishing to apply to renew their scholarship
