Camp Programs

Western Chances partners with a number of organisations that provide free camp programs to Western Chances recipients. These exciting programs offer opportunities to develop team building and leadership skills, grow confidence and resilience and create long-lasting friendships.

Spark Engineering Camp

Youth Without Borders offers free places at the Spark Engineering camp for a limited number of Western Chances recipients. The camp provides students with a unique experience, showing them what tertiary education and technology-related fields are like while they are still studying in high school. This can encourage students to pursue STEM as a career and highlights that a STEM pathway is accessible and achievable!

The weeklong camp will be held from 7th - 12th July 2025/

Activities include:

  • Equipping students with knowledge of different university courses and pathways

  • Providing students with the tools and support they need to pursue their goals and maximise their potential

  • Promoting the cultivation of relationships between diverse people groups to support future diversity in the workplace

β€œAttending the Spark camp helped me to decide to pursue the career pathway I am on. This opportunity enabled me to grow personally and professionals, building a firm foundation for a successful career”. WC recipient who attended the Spark Camp
