Our Scholarship Program provides much needed tangible financial support to talented and motivated students who face many barriers to pursuing their education.

We support eligible young people from Melbourne’s west from secondary school, and whilst the need continues, through to TAFE and tertiary education. If you are a tertiary student and meet the eligibility criteria below, we encourage you to apply.

  • You are under 25 years at the time of your first application.

  • You are enrolled at a University, TAFE or other educational institution for the coming 12 months.

  • You are studying a Certificate IV or above, with a pathway to further education.

  • You live in one of the local government areas of Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melton, Moonee Valley or Wyndham.

  • You are experiencing financial hardship. As you must be receiving government assistance to be considered for a Western Chances scholarship, international students are not eligible to apply.
