Become a Big Dreamer and join the School Pic Pledge

Our Big Dreams School Pic Pledge was launched yesterday by CEO Rhyll Dorrington!

The impact of COVID-19 means our young people need support more than ever. Big Dreams, our community donation program and part of our sustainability strategy, has been running for some years. To accelerate donations, we’ve launched the School Pic Pledge and we’re asking supporters to help us reach our target of 100 additional monthly donors by the end of 2020.

To take part, all you need to do is post a throwback photo on social media of you in your school uniform, like the photo of Rhyll on her first day of high school, with a caption explaining why you’re a Big Dreams donor and a link to the monthly donation sign up page. You could also send your friends an email if you’re not active on social media. The beauty of reaching out to friends and supporters of Western Chances is you have your own reasons to advocate for us.

The campaign runs until 20 December.

If you’re happy to help, dig through your photo albums and think about why the future of students in Melbourne’s west is important to you. Together, let's get the word out to show support for our young people and hopefully smash our goal! Below is sample copy you can personalise for your social media pages. Be sure to use the right link for Facebook and handle for Instagram – we’ve provided these below too. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #WCBigdreams too!

I was lucky enough to go through school with all the support and materials I needed – many students in Melbourne’s west don’t get the same opportunity. That's why I’m a Western Chances #WCBigdreams donor. From as little as $10 a month you can help young people in Melbourne’s west reach their full potential.
