An announcement from our Chair Terry Bracks - New CEO Zac Lewis
I am delighted to announce the selection of Zac Lewis as the new CEO of Western Chances.
Following a long and rigorous selection process we are very pleased that a person with Zac’s skills, experience and importantly passion for social justice will lead our organisation into the future.
Zac has more than 12 years experience across the not-for-profit and government sectors; his work has focused on public and community engagement, fundraising, community development and program delivery.
His most recent role has been the Food Programs and Partnerships Manager at Foodbank, Victoria where he led and engaged high-performing teams across community development, program design and managed a significant annual budget.
Zac states, “I whole-heartedly support the essential role Western Chances plays in providing inspiration and opportunity for young people facing barriers to fulfilling their potential. As a strongly values driven leader, I am thrilled by the prospect of joining this organisation which shares values that resonate so strongly with my own.”
Working with our dedicated Board, staff and volunteers, Zac will certainly be a great leader for Western Chances and will build on the incredible work of Rhyll Dorrington, our CEO for the past 12 years.
Rhyll developed the organisation into the western suburbs powerhouse that it is today and leaves behind a very robust, healthy organisation for Zac to build upon.
We are excited about Western Chances future and hope that you will be able to meet Zac soon, virtually or in person.
Zac starts with Western Chances on Monday, 14 December and will work alongside Rhyll until 23 December, Rhyll's last day with us.
