Wen is currently studying for a Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Melbourne. Through the Western Chances Internship Program, she is gaining valuable work experience as a consulting intern at Grosvener Performance Group.
“At secondary school, I enjoyed business management and understanding how a business works. So I’ve really appreciated being part of the internship program – it’s eye-opening working as a consultant. My colleagues at Grosvenor are amazingly supportive and have given me countless opportunities to advance my personal and professional development, which has really aided my experience at uni.
I began with Western Chances in 2023. Things were difficult for me financially and having the scholarship made a huge difference to starting at university.
Because of Western Chances I have a non-residential scholarship at Ormond College which gives me academic help and use of fantastic facilities like their library. It’s great for networking too. I’ve met a lot of people I wouldn’t have met otherwise.
Western Chances helps many young people to feel valued, through financial and other support. I’d like to say thank you for the time and effort they put in to helping students in need. They’re doing an incredible job.”
